Dr. Jenna Walters is a post-doctoral researcher in the Fanning lab at the University of Maine whose research focuses on understanding the consequences of stressors on bee health, development, and productivity. Walters received a dual Ph.D. from Michigan State University in 2024 in the Department of Entomology and Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior. Walters uses interdisciplinary approaches drawing from ecology, entomology, plant physiology, and biochemistry to examine how abiotic stressors can, directly and indirectly, affect bee pollinators, with consequences for agricultural productivity and conservation efforts.
