Overwintering Nuc Workshop

Backwoods Bee Farm will be hosting the Cumberland County Beekeepers Association overwintering nuc workshop at their home apiary this year.

The purpose of this class is to teach beekeepers sustainable beekeeping practices through the use and management of nucleus colonies.

Participants can take home a nuc kit and a northern raised Russian queen from Warm colors apiaries in Mass.

The nuc kit consists of 2 deep nuc bodies or 3 medium nuc bodies, a migratory bottom board, inner cover and telescoping outer cover. (They have frames available if you will need them).

The cost of the class with the overwintering nuc kit is $95 for deep kit and $105 for the medium kit.

Class will be held Saturday 6/28 starting at 10 am. With a rain date of Sunday 6/29 same time. (Class should run about 2 hours)

Because of the short notice please just call or email to register so they have an anticipated head count.

Please let them know what size equipment you prefer.

Limit of 20 students or couples.

You can pay for the class when you get there.
