The Jewish New Year (Rosh Hashanah) is celebrated just in time for your Fall honey harvest this year (September 5th and 6th).

According to Wikipdia:

Rosh Hashanah customs include sounding the shofar (a hollowed-out ram’s horn) and eating symbolic foods such as apples dipped in honey to evoke a “sweet new year.”

The Maine Beekeepers would like to wish everyone a sweet year with lots of honey.
